Moscow (Voice of Russia) Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, visited the Federal Tax Service of Russia today, where he held a meeting with Commissioner Daniil Egorov.
The meeting focused on the implementation of modern technologies aimed at enhancing fiscal transparency and improving tax administration. Russian officials briefed the Ambassador on a range of digital solutions successfully implemented in Russia, including the automated Value Added Tax (VAT) control system, the online cash register system that enables real-time monitoring of retail transactions, and other digital tools designed to facilitate taxpayer services.
Ambassador Tirmizi commended the high level of digitalization within the Russian tax system and invited Russian experts to share their technical expertise and best practices with Pakistani counterparts. He emphasized that such cooperation could significantly support Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to modernize and digitalize its tax administration.
Both sides agreed to maintain active dialogue and enhance institutional-level engagement between the tax authorities of Pakistan and Russia.
