Moscow (Voice of Russia) Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, visited the Russian Geographical Society in Moscow, where he met with the Society’s First Vice President and Executive Director, Artyom Manukyan.
During the meeting, Mr. Manukyan provided a detailed briefing on the 108-year history of the Russian Geographical Society and noted that its founding members included renowned Arctic explorers who made significant contributions to geographical research and discoveries.
He further informed that the Society currently operates eight international satellite stations in various countries and expressed interest in establishing the next satellite station in Pakistan.
Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the diversity of Pakistan’s geography and rich historical heritage, stating that the country encompasses mountains, glaciers, deserts, and coastal regions, reflecting unique geographical diversity. He assured full cooperation in facilitating the establishment of the proposed satellite station of the Russian Geographical Society in Pakistan.
