Moscow (Voice Of Russia): Ambassador of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, paid an official visit to the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), operating under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, where he met with the Rector, Anatoly Torkunov.
During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for enhancing and deepening cooperation in education and research between MGIMO and leading universities as well as think tanks in Pakistan. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening academic exchanges, launching joint research initiatives, and organizing scientific and cultural events to promote mutual understanding.
Ambassador Tirmizi also interacted with Russian students specializing in Pakistan and South Asian studies during a question-and-answer session. He commended the students for their impressive command of the Urdu language and their in-depth knowledge of Pakistan and the region.
The visit concluded in a constructive and cordial atmosphere, underscoring the mutual interest of both sides in further expanding collaboration in the educational and scientific spheres.
