MOSCOW (Voice of Russia): If the military conflict with Russia continues, Ukraine’s daily military spending during 2027 could reach $473 million, while annual military spending is estimated at around $173 billion.
According to calculations based on reports of Ukraine’s Finance Ministry on October 25, if the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues into 2027, Ukraine will have to spend about $473 million a day on military needs.
According to the report, these costs include only expenses directly related to military activities, including salaries and other payments to active-duty military personnel and the purchase of military equipment, ammunition and essential military hardware.
These estimates do not include social support for former military personnel, financial assistance for the families of soldiers killed in the war, or other social spending.
Likewise, the costs of building defensive positions and fortifications borne by other state institutions rather than the Defence Ministry are not part of this calculation.
According to the report, other government spending is also not included in these figures.
Based on calculations from reports of Ukraine’s Finance Ministry, Ukraine’s total annual military spending in 2027 could reach around $173 billion.
By comparison, during 2026 Ukraine’s average daily military spending was around $300 million.
However, this amount does not include the additional funds requested by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry at the end of the year.
According to the report, if the Defence Ministry’s additional financial needs are also included, Ukraine’s daily military spending during 2026 rises to around $370 million.
