Moscow: (Shahid Ghumman) The international educational project “Atomic Dictation 2026” has begun its new season, with activities running from August 28 to September 28 in Russia and several other countries.
According to the project’s press release, this year’s international participation has expanded to include Belarus, Türkiye, Armenia, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, China and Uzbekistan. Participants can take part either online or at official in-person venues.
“Atomic Dictation” is an annual educational initiative of the Union of Nuclear Industry Organizations “Atomic Cities,” supported by Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom. The project is designed to introduce participants to the history and achievements of Russia’s nuclear industry, its leading scientists and specialists, and modern developments ranging from nuclear medicine and energy to Arctic exploration and space research.
In 2025, international in-person venues operated in Belarus, Hungary and Türkiye. This year, the project will bring together more than 500 venues across Russia while continuing to expand its international network. A full list of overseas venues is expected to be published on the project’s official website.
The questions will cover the history of nuclear science, achievements of Russian scientists and engineers, modern technologies and their practical applications. Topics include nuclear energy, nuclear medicine, the nuclear icebreaker fleet, Arctic development, space research and other high-technology fields. Some questions will also be presented in video format.
For international participants, Atomic Dictation 2026 is available in English, French, Chinese, Turkish and Arabic. The project is open to people of all ages and does not require any specialized educational background. Participants may join at official venues or complete the program online using a computer, smartphone or tablet. Each participant will receive an electronic diploma after completion.
The project has been held annually since 2021 and has attracted more than 250,000 participants. More than 300 in-person events have been organized at educational institutions, cultural venues, enterprises and other partner sites in Russia and abroad. Atomic Dictation 2026 will conclude on September 28, Russia’s Nuclear Industry Workers’ Day.
