Moscow (Voice of Russia): Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, met with the Head of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), Sergey Dankvert, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, Ambassador Tirmizi commended Russia’s significant achievements in agriculture, noting that food security remains a fundamental pillar of national sovereignty. He emphasized Pakistan’s strong interest in benefiting from Russia’s expertise and best practices, particularly in the areas of food safety, phytosanitary control, and veterinary surveillance.
The Ambassador also highlighted the importance of enhancing institutional linkages between the relevant ministries and departments of both countries to ensure closer coordination and effective collaboration.
Both sides agreed to continue efforts to expand bilateral cooperation and agricultural trade, aiming to build a stronger and mutually beneficial partnership in the sector.
