Ankara : No concrete date has been set so far for a new round of negotiations on the settlement of the Ukraine conflict, a source close to political circles in Ankara told media.
The source said there is currently no information about possible dates for the talks or whether detailed diplomatic contacts are underway on the matter.
“There is currently no information regarding any potential dates. There is also no information whether detailed contacts are currently underway regarding this issue,” the source said when asked whether negotiations could take place in March.
The source added that Turkey remains open to all initiatives and is ready to host negotiations if all parties involved agree.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the participants in negotiations on the Ukraine conflict consider Istanbul as a possible venue for future talks.
According to him, the “Istanbul option exists and all parties view it rather positively.”
