Moscow (Voice Of Russia) Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, visited the Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow where he met Sergey Aleksandrovich Karaganov, Advisor to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Foreign Policy.
Karaganov also serves as the Academic Supervisor at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies (CCEIS) at HSE.
During the meeting, Karaganov expressed appreciation to Ambassador Tirmizi for his lecture delivered at the Higher School of Economics in February on Pakistan-Russia relations.
The discussion also covered the current geopolitical landscape, including Russia’s position on international developments as well as Karaganov’s views on the conflicts in the Middle East and between Russia and Ukraine.
Ambassador Tirmizi acknowledged Karaganov’s contribution to Russia’s foreign policy thinking and the vision of Eurasian connectivity, and thanked him for organizing the interaction with faculty members and students at HSE.
The Pakistani envoy also highlighted Pakistan’s concerns regarding the evolving situation in its neighborhood and emphasized that Islamabad is making continuous efforts to reduce tensions and promote stability in the region.
