MOSCOW (Voice Of Russia) Iran’s national football team will not participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Iranian Sports Minister Ahmad Donyamali said.
The minister stated that Iran cannot take part in a tournament hosted partly by the United States following the killing of Iran’s supreme leader.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19 and will feature 48 teams.
