ABU DHABI (Mudassar Khushnood) The trilateral talks between Russia and Ukraine have been described as constructive, with the next round scheduled for February 1.
The Russian negotiating team was led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces’ General Staff, while the Ukrainian delegation was headed by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.
Representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States participated in the negotiations. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the meetings took place in a positive atmosphere, and the parties agreed to continue dialogue in the future.
US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, also confirmed that the next round of talks will be held on February 1, during which the trilateral working group will engage in more detailed discussions on outstanding issues.
