MOSCOW (Voice of Russia): Russian armed forces carried out overnight drone strikes on logistics centers, port infrastructure and vessels used to deliver military equipment in various regions of Ukraine. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that the operations targeted key facilities used to store and transport military and dual-use goods for the Ukrainian army.
In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, the Russian Defence Ministry said Russian forces continued drone operations against Ukrainian logistics centers, port facilities and vessels used in the interests of the Ukrainian army.
According to the ministry, the Grand Import logistics center in the Ukrainian city of Khmelnytskyi was targeted, where military and dual-use goods allocated for the Ukrainian army were stored.
The Russian Defence Ministry added that the transport and logistics center of a company called Vander Trans Service in the city of Kovel, in Ukraine’s Volyn region, was also hit. According to Russian officials, the center was being used to store and distribute equipment and other essential supplies for the Ukrainian army.
The statement said three cargo ships were targeted at the port of Reni, which were carrying military and dual-use goods for the Ukrainian army. Facilities at the port used for loading and unloading ships were also targeted in the operation.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry, a cargo ship in the Black Sea heading to the port of Odesa was also hit, which Russian officials claim was carrying military cargo for Ukraine.
On the other hand, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said an industrial warehouse in the Kyiv region was damaged, where a fire broke out after the strike, though it was brought under control after rescue operations.
Maksym Kozytskyi, governor of Ukraine’s western Lviv region, said a key energy infrastructure facility in the region was damaged by two explosions.
Similarly, Taras Pastukh, head of the military administration of Ukraine’s Ternopil region, said three energy facilities in the region were damaged.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa region military administration, also confirmed damage to energy facilities in the region, though he gave no further details of the losses.
The Russian Defence Ministry described the strikes as operations against the system of delivery and storage of supplies for the Ukrainian army, while Ukrainian officials reported damage to industrial and energy facilities in various regions.
The Russian Defence Ministry’s claims about targeting ships and military logistics centers could not be independently verified, and no details of possible casualties in the strikes have emerged.
