MOSCOW (Voice of Russia): The Kremlin has said that Russia has received no official information about an alleged joint peace plan for Ukraine being prepared by the United States and European countries.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Moscow has seen The Washington Post report claiming a joint US-Europe peace plan is being prepared, but Russia has heard nothing about it at the official level.
On a possible agreement between Russia and Ukraine to stop attacks on energy facilities, Peskov said contacts between the sides are ongoing, but no new progress has emerged since yesterday.
Dmitry Peskov described the diesel supply agreement between Russia and the United States as an example of mutually beneficial cooperation for both countries.
He rejected any link between the Russian diesel deal and Moscow’s position on Ukraine, saying the agreement is in line with the interests of Russia, the United States and global energy markets.
The Kremlin spokesman warned that European Union sanctions and other unilateral measures could hinder the agreement to supply Russian fuel to the United States.
Peskov said that European countries themselves are among the major buyers of Russian crude oil and petroleum products, while the contradiction in the European attitude is also being discussed in the global media.
He said Russia is selling its competitive energy resources in international markets and will continue to supply them.
On the exchange of US intelligence information with Ukraine, Dmitry Peskov said the Kremlin has no information about reports claiming that US President Donald Trump could cut off intelligence supply or the Starlink service to Kiev if Ukraine continues its attacks on Russian oil refineries.
On a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, he said Moscow’s position is already clear and remains unchanged. There has also been no change in the Russian position on holding elections in Ukraine.
On compensating users for possible financial losses after Ukrainian drone attacks on Yandex data centers, Peskov said it is premature to discuss any compensation mechanism at this stage.
He said Yandex is a strong company, but it is currently facing difficulties. The Russian government is assessing the situation, while the company is taking emergency measures to deal with the impact of the attacks.
According to Dmitry Peskov, President Putin will also meet Russian Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin at the Kremlin and hold an international telephone conversation.
