Yekaterinburg (Voice Of Russia): Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, participated in the 16th Eurasian Economic Youth Forum held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, where he addressed key issues related to global economy, regional connectivity, and the role of youth.
The forum took place from April 21 to 24, 2026, under the theme “Eurasian Synergy: Unity of the Peoples of Russia in an Era of Global Change.” The international event brought together thousands of participants, experts, and diplomatic representatives from around the world.
During his address, Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted Pakistan-Russia relations, Pakistan’s strategic role in regional connectivity, and its contribution to economic integration. He emphasized that youth play a crucial role in shaping the future of global trade and diplomacy.
As part of his visit, the ambassador delivered a guest lecture at the Ural State University of Economics to students from Central and South Asia. His lecture, titled “Pakistan-Russia Relations and the Framework of Eurasian Connectivity,” focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and regional integration. The First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region appreciated his insights and welcomed enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
Ambassador Tirmizi also interacted with young diplomats and students at the forum, discussing current geopolitical developments and Pakistan’s active role in reducing tensions in the Middle East.
The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum serves as a major platform for young leaders and professionals to discuss global economic challenges. This year’s forum brought together over 24,000 participants from 117 countries, including more than 90 members of the diplomatic corps and over 500 international experts.
