Moscow(Voice Of Russia): Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree banning the export of ruble cash exceeding the equivalent of $100,000 to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
According to the official document, the restriction will come into force on April 1 and will apply to the transfer of Russian currency across borders, calculated at the exchange rate set by the Central Bank of Russia on the date of export.
The decree allows for certain exceptions, though details were not specified.
The Eurasian Economic Union includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan, and the move is seen as part of efforts to tighten financial controls within the region.
