Moscow (Voice of Russia): The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, paid an official visit to People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in Moscow, where he met with Mr. Oleg Yastrebov, Rector, and Ms. Marina Rekets, Vice-Rector, on the sidelines of the round table conference titled “All Flags at RUDN.”
The round table brought together diplomatic representatives and academic leadership to discuss international cooperation in higher education and multicultural academic engagement.
During the meeting, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi shared his vision for increasing the number of Pakistani students in Russian universities, with a particular focus on RUDN University, and emphasized strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of education.
RUDN University officials briefed participants on admission procedures, scholarship opportunities, and a wide range of academic programs available for international students.
The Ambassador was also invited to deliver a special lecture at RUDN University, along with holding an exclusive meeting with the Rector to discuss matters related to admissions and facilitation for Pakistani students.
The event was also attended by Dr. Shahid Hassan, Ambassador of Russian Education and Science, whose special participation was viewed as a positive step toward further enhancing Pakistan-Russia educational ties.
