Moscow(Voice Of Russia): Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Russian Federation, visited the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. During his visit, he met with Dr. Feodor Voitolovsky, Director of the Institute, Dr. Alexey Kupriyanov, Head of the South Asia and Indian Ocean Group, and Dr. Peter Topychkanov, expert on nuclear non-proliferation, arms control, and South Asian security issues.
Ambassador Tirmizi shared Pakistan’s foreign policy perspective in the Eurasian region and highlighted Pakistan-Russia relations. He also addressed Pakistan-India relations, emphasizing how current Indian policies could potentially disrupt peace in South Asia.
Dr. Feodor Voitolovsky discussed the Russia-Ukraine conflict, including historical factors leading to the current situation, and outlined Russia’s political and diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict. He also highlighted the successful collaboration between Russian and Pakistani think tanks and the growing bilateral relationship between the two countries.
The Ambassador was invited by Dr. Voitolovsky for further discussions with the Institute’s researchers on the Eurasian region, the concept of a multipolar world, and Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations.
