Moscow: The Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow, in collaboration with the Pakistan Community Russia, organized a prestigious farewell ceremony in honor of Consellor Rana Muhammad Khalid Zia. The event was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, who served as the chief guest.
The ceremony saw the participation of newly appointed Consellor Salman Khalid Khan, prominent businessman Dr. Tariq Chaudhry, Vice President of Pakistan Community Russia Rizwan Ghani, and other notable community members, including Dr. Babar Islam, Dr. Arif Islam, Amir Saeed, Asif Siddiqui, and Raja Qadeer.
In his address, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi lauded Consellor Khalid Zia as a dedicated, hardworking, and community-oriented officer, highlighting his significant contributions toward resolving the issues of Pakistanis living in Russia. “His efforts in strengthening the ties between the embassy and the Pakistani community have been commendable,” the ambassador said.
Consellor Rana Muhammad Khalid Zia expressed gratitude for the support extended by the Pakistani community throughout his tenure. He specifically thanked Dr. Tariq Chaudhry for his consistent encouragement and assistance. He added that he always prioritized addressing consular matters, visa processes, and other administrative issues on a priority basis. “My time with the Pakistani community in Russia has been both memorable and rewarding,” he said.
Newly appointed Consellor Salman Khalid Khan pledged to continue the legacy of his predecessor, assuring that his doors would remain open for Pakistanis and that he would strive to further strengthen Pakistan-Russia relations.
The Pakistan Community Russia also presented a special shield to Consellor Khalid Zia in recognition of his outstanding service, which was jointly handed over by Malik Shahbaz, President of Pakistan Community Russia, and Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi. Both speakers emphasized that the community would always value his contributions.
Malik Shahbaz, the host of the event, described Consellor Khalid Zia as an exemplary officer who always prioritized the welfare of Pakistanis in Russia. The farewell ceremony concluded with participants extending their best wishes to Consellor Khalid Zia in a warm and respectful atmosphere.
