SARGODHA: Punjab Police officer DSP Imran Abbas Chadhar has been promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in recognition of his professional competence, administrative performance, and service record. Following the promotion, he has formally assumed charge as SP Investigation Sargodha.
After taking over the new assignment, SP Imran Abbas Chadhar held an introductory meeting with officers of the District Investigation Branch, during which he reviewed pending cases, investigative procedures, and overall performance indicators of the unit. He also outlined preliminary priorities and operational directives for the coming weeks.

According to police sources, SP Chadhar instructed all investigation officers to ensure timely, transparent, and merit-based investigations, improve coordination with complainants, and pay special attention to sensitive and serious cases. He emphasized rule of law, crime reduction, and restoration of public confidence as his key priorities.
Police authorities have expressed hope that his appointment will further strengthen the investigation system in Sargodha and help reduce the backlog of pending inquiries and cases. Social and civil society circles have also congratulated SP Imran Abbas Chadhar on his promotion and new posting.
