MOSCOW (Voice of Russia): The Russian Ministry of Defense says that during overnight Ukrainian drone attacks on various regions of Russia, the air defense system destroyed a total of 616 drones. According to the ministry, the drones were targeted in 22 regions of Russia, as well as in the airspace over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on October 24, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Ukrainian drone attacks continued from 8 p.m. on October 23 to 8 a.m. on October 24. During this period, the Russian air defense system intercepted and destroyed 616 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones in the air in various regions.<\/p>\n
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the attacks extended across Russia’s western, southern and central regions, while the Moscow region was also among the areas where Ukrainian drones were shot down.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, drones were targeted in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kirov, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Tambov, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions.<\/p>\n
In addition, the air defense system also reported destroying Ukrainian drones in the Moscow region, the Republic of Crimea, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Krasnodar region.<\/p>\n
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that several drones were also intercepted and destroyed over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.<\/p>\n
