MOSCOW (Shahid Ghumman): The second Global Digital Forum has kicked off in the Russian capital Moscow. The three-day forum will continue until October 10 at the “Mechta” multifunctional complex in Gorky Park.<\/p>\n

As many as 760 delegates from 120 countries are taking part in the forum, including deputy prime ministers, digital development ministers, senior government officials, diplomats, IT company heads, experts, researchers and representatives of international organizations from Africa, Asia, the Gulf region, Europe and Latin America.<\/p>\n

On the opening day, various sessions were held on artificial intelligence, digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure and global cooperation. The high-level central session discussed global competition in artificial intelligence and the need for common international principles for its safe use.<\/p>\n

Participants are reviewing global trends in digital transformation, the integration of modern products into national digital systems, and prospects for cooperation between countries in the technology sector.<\/p>\n

Besides the public and private sectors, educational institutions, civil society, professional organizations and international technology companies are also represented at the forum.<\/p>\n

The three-day program includes around 60 sessions, talks, workshops, educational programs and interactive activities. Key topics include national digital strategies, the knowledge economy, the digital future of creative industries, smart cities, digital health and AI opportunities for new content markets.<\/p>\n

Special educational programs are also being held for IT journalism and bloggers at the forum, offering training in AI-assisted content creation, fact-checking, identifying misinformation, social engineering and the use of modern media platforms.<\/p>\n

During the Global Digital Forum, an alliance for the digital sovereignty of African countries and a global alliance to protect children from online threats will also be introduced.<\/p>\n

According to the organizers, more than 100 agreements are expected to be signed in various fields of digital technology and international cooperation by the end of the forum.<\/p>\n

The second Global Digital Forum is being held with the support of the Russian government, the Russian Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Numerous Russian institutions, including the Moscow government, PSB Bank, A7, VKontakte, Roscosmos, Positive Technologies and Ruviki, are its partners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
