ST. PETERSBURG: Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has criticized what he described as a \u201cmisguided\u201d tendency among Poland and the Baltic states to view Russia through the lens of fear and hostility.<\/p>\n
In a recent interview, Peskov remarked that for centuries, certain European countries have lacked what he called \u201cfriendly sentiments\u201d toward Russia. He pointed to Poland as a notable example where bilateral relations remain strained, while the Baltic states, he said, consistently exhibit an atmosphere of suspicion toward Moscow \u2014 a pattern that, according to him, intensifies under each new government.<\/p>\n
Peskov argued that such attitudes are based on long-standing misconceptions and do not reflect reality. He stressed that both sides could benefit from deeper engagement, especially in cultural and historical spheres.<\/p>\n
