Ever since I became chief minister, I have knocked on every door and pursued every democratic, constitutional and legal avenue. I kept asking: tell me, what option is left for me?”

The KP chief minister said he exhausted all constitutional and legal avenues. He said he phoned the “fake prime minister” and asked him to arrange his meeting with Imran Khan; the reply was “let me ask and tell you.” Then the provincial assembly passed a resolution that the meeting must take place. He said he approached the Chief Justice of Pakistan, but the meeting never happened; the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court did not even bother to return his greeting; three Supreme Court judges ordered that Imran Khan be treated at Shifa International Hospital, yet the order was not implemented.

Afridi said that where justice is expected but not delivered, the Constitution allows peaceful protest. “We have begun peaceful protest from the southern region. We are unarmed and will record our protest peacefully. Imran Khan’s treatment and meeting are not unconstitutional; release on the basis of justice is not unconstitutional. Why are the judges afraid? Why are judges not hearing the cases? If the cases are heard, Imran Khan would be out within an hour,” he said.

He said Imran Khan has committed no crime — if he is in jail, it is because he said “absolutely not” to Pakistan’s and the world’s most powerful. “They fear Imran Khan’s popularity. They are so cowardly, timid and cunning that they will never let our leader come out. If the courts that run on your tax money, the assemblies, the institutions run on your tax money, then the rule must also belong to the people. If the courts do not deliver justice, the people will deliver justice on the streets. The people have decided to come out on the streets; when the entire province and country rises, no one will find a place to hide,” he said.

“I am giving the policy — let the federation follow it and peace will be restored in KP within 100 days,” said Afridi. He said they have always maintained that issues should be resolved through negotiations and dialogue. Political negotiations were underway, he said, while on the other side there was thinking about trading the heads of Pakhtuns to save one’s own chair. “I curse such a chair. Trading the heads of Pakhtuns was never acceptable before, is not acceptable now, and will never be,” he said, adding that the people want issues resolved through the provincial government’s policy. “Operations after operations and drone strikes after drone strikes have continued for 22 years, yet terrorism has not ended. Your failed policy could not end terrorism. I am giving the policy — peace can be established in 100 days.”

Afridi said: “It is my province, my people — they have sacrificed more than 80,000 lives for Pakistan.” He said the Punjab chief minister claims there is no threat from India but threats from the other three provinces. “These people will try to lead you toward chaos, but you must remain peaceful. Our plan was Peshawar, but now we will go to Khyber first, then Peshawar. When we announced the long march dates from September 27 to October 4, you saw where the press conferences were held. When we say we will go to Islamabad, not even your father will be able to stop us,” he said.

The KP chief minister said they were hurt by the change of dates from September 27 to October 4, and now they are hurting over the Test match. “There was peace here from 2018 to 2022; Imran Khan was not enslaved to anyone. Imran Khan must be brought out and made prime minister. When Imran Khan becomes prime minister, progress and prosperity will follow. This government’s days are numbered, and our era is about to begin,” he said.

Sohail Afridi said it is now being reported that Imran Khan’s health has deteriorated once again and that his health is being played with. If any harm comes to him, the jail administration, the prime minister and other relevant officials will be directly responsible, he said.

Kohat (Voice of Russia): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said that he has released the draft

[10,4

post-1509","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-breaking-news","category-pakistan-news
https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",600,450,false
https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",150,113,false
https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",300,225,false
https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",600,450,false
https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",600,450,false],"1536x1536":["https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",600,450,false],"2048x2048":["https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",600,450,false
https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",600,450,false
https://voiceofrussia.net/en/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/long-march-kohat.jpg",547,410,false
admin
Breaking Pakistan
["GET
