Kazan (Voice Of Russia): Federal Minister Rana Mubashir Iqbal and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Talha Burki are representing Pakistan at the International Economic Forum \u201cRussia \u2013 Islamic World: KazanForum\u201d being held in Kazan, Russia.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the forum, the II Russia\u2013Pakistan International Conference titled \u201cThe Evolution of Russia\u2013Pakistan Relations in the Context of a Changing World Order\u201d was organized by Kazan Federal University, bringing together scholars, policymakers, business leaders, diplomats, and students from various countries.<\/p>\n

Addressing the inaugural session, SAPM Talha Burki highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Russia, stating that Pakistan views Russia as an important partner in promoting global peace, stability, and a multipolar world order.<\/p>\n

He said Pakistan is keen to become part of President Vladimir Putin\u2019s vision for the North\u2013South Transport Corridor by linking the International North\u2013South Transport Corridor (INSTC) with Gwadar Port.<\/p>\n

According to Talha Burki, such regional connectivity would also complement Chinese President Xi Jinping\u2019s Belt and Road Initiative, further strengthening economic integration and cooperation across Eurasia.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, said that Pakistan-Russia relations are entering a new era marked by expanding cooperation in diplomacy, trade, energy, education, culture, and people-to-people contacts.<\/p>\n

He noted that the growing political trust between the two countries could pave the way for broader economic and strategic cooperation in the future, while Pakistan remains committed to strengthening its engagement with the Eurasian region.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Tirmizi also emphasized the importance of academic diplomacy, saying that cooperation among universities, research institutions, and young scholars is playing a vital role in bringing the two nations closer together.<\/p>\n

Russian Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Albert Khorev also addressed the conference.<\/p>\n

Speakers at the event discussed the evolving Pakistan-Russia partnership, growing economic and diplomatic cooperation, and opportunities for long-term collaboration in the changing global landscape.<\/p>\n

The conference emphasized the need to further enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, education, culture, and regional connectivity between Pakistan and Russia.<\/p>\n
