Moscow(Voice Of Russia): Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on his re-election as Chairman of the State Affairs Commission.
In a congratulatory message published by the Kremlin, Putin said the decision by the Supreme People’s Assembly reflects strong public support for Kim Jong Un’s leadership, particularly in addressing socio-economic challenges and defending the country’s sovereignty on the international stage.
The Russian president emphasized that Moscow and Pyongyang will continue to develop their strategic partnership and maintain close cooperation, which serves the fundamental interests of both nations.
Putin also highlighted Kim Jong Un’s personal contribution to strengthening bilateral relations, noting that Russia highly values the friendly and allied ties between the two countries.
He concluded by wishing Kim Jong Un continued success in his state duties, as well as good health and prosperity.
According to reports, Kim Jong Un was re-elected during the ongoing congress of the Workers’ Party in Pyongyang. He has led North Korea since 2011 and has served as Chairman of the State Affairs Commission since 2016.
