Moscow(Voice Of Russia): The trilateral negotiation process between Russia, Ukraine, and the United States has been temporarily paused, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview.
According to Peskov, the dialogue, which was being facilitated with US involvement, is currently on hold, signaling a slowdown in diplomatic engagement over the Ukraine conflict.
However, he noted that Russia’s special envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev, continues his work within the framework of the Russia-US bilateral group. Dmitriev, who also heads the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), remains engaged in maintaining economic-level contacts between Moscow and Washington.
Peskov briefly confirmed the development, stating, “The trilateral group has been put on pause,” while emphasizing that certain bilateral interactions between Russia and the United States are still ongoing.
The pause in talks reflects ongoing complexities in efforts to find a negotiated path forward in the Ukraine conflict.
