Moscow: Ukrainian forces have launched more than 500 Western-supplied missiles since the beginning of the conflict, including ATACMS missile system, Storm Shadow missile, and SCALP missile, according to compiled data.
Reports indicate that missile usage surged after Western deliveries began in 2023. That year, Ukrainian forces fired around 120 Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles, along with 13 ATACMS missiles.
The peak came in 2024, when approximately 220 ATACMS strikes were recorded, alongside more than 90 Storm Shadow and SCALP launches.
However, the number of strikes declined in 2025, with about 45 Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles and 24 ATACMS missiles used. In March 2026, Ukrainian forces reportedly launched seven British missiles targeting Russia’s Bryansk region.
The Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles, jointly developed by the UK and France, are air-launched cruise missiles capable of flying at extremely low altitudes, helping them evade air defense systems. The Storm Shadow variant has a range of up to 560 kilometers.
Meanwhile, ATACMS missiles are high-precision tactical ballistic systems, equipped with GPS and inertial navigation, making them effective for long-range strikes.
Overall, the majority of missiles used were British Storm Shadow and American ATACMS, while French SCALP missiles were deployed less frequently, often alongside British systems.
