Dubai (Tahir Munir Tahir) The Pakistan season of the internationally recognized wrestling event Dangal World Cup will officially begin on March 23, 2026, in Pakistan, while the next global season will be hosted in Dubai, it was announced on Saturday.
Speaking during an interaction with media representatives at his residence in Dubai, Malik Munir Awan, a prominent UAE-based businessman and Director and patron of the Dangal World Cup, shared details about the upcoming international wrestling tournament. He said that the event aims to promote global harmony through sports and provide a platform for young talent from different countries.
Earlier on February 1, the organizing committee of the Dangal World Cup held a press conference in Islamabad, where details regarding preparations, participating countries, and international teams were formally unveiled.
According to the organizers, the Dangal World Cup is a mega sporting event designed to strengthen cultural ties between nations, encourage youth participation in traditional sports, and promote international friendship through competitive wrestling. Wrestlers and sports representatives from across the world are expected to take part in the tournament.
Imran Shah, CEO of the Dangal World Cup, along with Malik Munir Awan, is playing a key role in the leadership, sponsorship, and management of the event. The organizers also revealed that a special reception will be hosted in Dubai during the month of Ramadan in honor of international team representatives, where further details regarding the Dubai season and future planning will be shared.
Sports analysts believe that launching the Dangal World Cup in Pakistan followed by hosting the next season in Dubai could transform the event into a major international sports platform, contributing significantly to regional cooperation, cultural exchange, and global unity through sports.
